When it comes to exploring bright and bold colours, PUMA’s creative team have not shied away from experimenting with such colours for the sneakers in recent times. With their most recent drop, PUMA has announced its partnership with Pantone for an exclusive edition of the PUMA Nova sneaker. The PUMA X Pantone collaboration was designed with the 2019 Colour of the Year, PANTONE 16-1546 Living Coral, ready for a new generation of bold women whose vibrancy can’t be stopped.
Pantone has been the international standard of colour since 1963 and has featured quite a few significant colours over the years, having features the Ultra Violet as the Colour of the Year (CofY) in 2018 as a tribute to the musical legends such as Prince, David Bowie, and Jimi Hendrix. The company is also an iconic name in the fashion, product, graphic design and lifestyle-oriented industries, which is globally recognised as a symbol of the creative and design-minded. With the latest CotY, Living Coral, PUMA has paired it with the 90s-inspired silhouette, the Nova. The design features pops of colour, which combines with the chunky sole and tooling with a slim feminine mesh, suede and leather overlays on the upper. The mix of colours, which features the Living Coral on the upper and the chunky rubber outsole in PUMA White, creates a striking contrast to complete the look.
The PUMA Nova X Pantone is set to drop on 9 May 2019 and will retail for R2,299. The silhouette will be available exclusively at PUMA Select stores.
