PUMA has been dropping new collaborations with prominent design and fashion houses of late, extended this to pop-culture and beyond. With their latest collab, the team partnered with The Kooples for a refreshing of the CELL Thunder and Suede silhouettes. The Kooples, a French fashion retailer with over 300 outlets across Europe, known for its haute couture releases has brought a touch of high-end fashion to two PUMA archive silhouettes, mixing classic and future stylings.
Fresh off a recent renaissance, the PUMA CELL Thunder The Kooples sees yet another take on the classic CELL silhouette, as it features a mixed material upper made of premium leather, mesh, neoprene and rubber. The silhouette includes metallic eyelets, a loop puller on the tongue and heel, and comes with two pairs of laces – white and black with screen-printed branding – for your choosing. Rounding off the design, The Kooples signature branding is featured on the heel with contrasting branding on the insoles.
The PUMA Suede The Kooples, on the other hand, has a premium suede all over upper. THe design is elevated to the next level with crystals adorning the lateral Formstrip and heel. As with the Thunder silhouette, the Suede’s design is completed with the co-branding on the tongue and insoles.
The PUMA X The Kooples collaboration is set to drop on 1 April 2019 and will be available at PUMA SELECT. The PUMA CELL Thunder The Kooples will retail for R2,699, while the PUMA Suede The Kooples will retail at R2,499.
