More than just a fashion show, the FUTROGRADE catwalk at the New York Fashion Week announced plenty of new PUMA releases. We’ve already seen the Luxe Sport Collection last week. This time around, the PUMA Players’ Lounge collection makes its way to a store near you.
The PUMA Players’ Loung collection is derived from football’s golden age. It pays homage to the iconic period between the 60s and 70s and its football style. As such, the collection includes a range of apparel, footwear and accessories to match.
Each of these pieces was inspired by PUMA’s heritage during this time while designing a collection for the next generation. This collection evokes a unique era of charisma and taste, both on and off the pitch. The PUMA Players’ Lounge is a celebration of the brand’s history and involvement in the beautiful game.
In terms of footwear, there are four sneakers in the drop. This includes the Slipstream Lo, Suede VTG, RX 737, as well as the Blaze of Glory. The range includes the span of classic silhouettes from football to running and basketball. Each of the sneakers has been re-fitted with new details relating to the theme.
For the range of apparel, the collection features aspects of embroidery, trims and engineered knits. It has a heavy tailored approach to the release. The range of items includes the T7 tracksuit, a staple for the brand, which includes a re-imagined PUMA Formstrip. Additionally, there are tees, polo shirts and knitted crewneck sweaters added.
Lastly, for the accessories, it includes caps, scarves and even a set of luggage to round off the stylised collection.
The PUMA Players’ Lounge collection will be available from 25 October 2022.
It’ll be available online at PUMA.com, as well as in-store around the country. This includes PUMA retail stores, PUMA Select in Cape Town, Braam, Gateway and Menlyn Mall. Additionally, it’ll be carried in Al Capone and Archive retailers. The range features pricing from R899 to R2,799.
