This weekend’s Grand Prix at Mugello in Italy is set to mark the 1000th race for the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One team. PUMA, a long-standing supporter of motorsport around the world, as well as a sponsor of the team, releases the Scuderia Ferrari Speedcat Pro.
PUMA and Ferrari go quite a long way back. What makes this release very different is that it’s the first-ever F1 shoe that is the same as the one F1 drivers, Charles LeClerc and Sebastian Vettel, wear during the race weekend.
The Scuderia Ferrari Speedcat Pro not only celebrates the team’s upcoming 1000th race, but also 16 years with PUMA as the official outfitter of the team, across footwear, racewear and teamwear.
The Scuderia Ferrari Speedcat Pro will be released as a limited editor sneaker to Ferrari fans, selectors and race enthusiasts around the world – providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get your hands on F1 sneakers. The sneaker brings with it years of innovation and technology, a mix of art materials for racing.
The upper and lining are crafted from a lightweight fabric, allowing for speed, comfort and even protection against fire. As with all things F1, the sneaker also features weight reduction technology, with a carbon fibre counter on the feel.
For maximum control of the pedals while racing, the sneaker also features a lo-profile rubber outsole and EVA wedge to provide additional comfort.
The Scuderia Ferrari Speedcat Pro is built to comply with FIA regulations for safety and security for the best protective racing.
To celebrate his racing career, Sebastian Vettel´s Speedcat Pro will be available in a limited 53 pairs, equal to his total number of F1 Grand Prix wins so far.
Reach the checkered flag with the PUMA Scuderia Ferrari Speedcat Pro, which will be available from today, 10 September 2020, online at Ferraristore.com and select Ferrari Stores across the country.
