Puma’s Spring/Summer ’18 campaign is in full swing and shows no sign of letting up with the release of the new Puma En Pointe collection. Puma has partnered with global ambassador Selena Gomez for the release of the collection. Her flexibility in style takes her from the gym to the red carpet and to all corners of the globe and her fearlessness is reflected within the collection with bold, statement pieces that command attention.
The range continues the line of the Phenom, which launched in November 17. Because looking good feels good, the collection’s ever coveted millennial pink and also includes an array of soft pastels, offering a variety of stylish pieces to play with. The latest collection for women was born out of a conversation between Puma‘s design team and the dancers of New York City Ballet. The build and design of the range stemmed from the dancer’s needs to be at their best through long hours of rehearsals.
The Puma En Pointe collection showcases linear elements, wide strapping, and woven details pulled from ballet technique – long lines, dynamic flexibility, and powerful movement. The structure of the shoe is created through pleating, rib textures and buoyant fabrics. There’s a mix of metal with the shine and sporty trims to emphasise motion of the ballet dancers.
The range features tonal offerings and a lightweight frame. Dancers are constantly striving to perfect each new performance, and therefore highlighting the long lines is key, with muted colours and patterns as with the standard ballet shoe. The range of sneakers from the En Pointe collection include the following styles:
- Phenom Satin – R1,799: Available at Puma, The Cross Trainer, Total Sports and more.
- Phenom Low Satin – R1,499: Available at Puma, The Cross Trainer and more.
- Fierce Satin – R1,899: Available at Puma stores at Canal Walk, Braamfontein, Rosebank, Mall of Africa and Gateway, The Cross Trainer, Sportsmans Warehouse and more.
The range of sneakers from the Puma En Pointe collection is set to drop at the various stores from 1 February 2018.
