PUMA has been busy of late, having launched a number of partnerships and collaborations of the last year. This time around, well ahead of the official launch, the sports brand has teased their latest venture, having partnered with Sega.
The team will be dropping a pair of Sonic silhouettes, already dubbed the RS-0 SONIC. The shoe was teased in the form of a teaser trailer, marking 25 years of striving to go faster.

As noted in the teaser, the shoes will drop this June 2018, given only a pixelated view of the upcoming release. Given that the drop is still a few months away, there are no details of a pre-order, price or quantity available. What we are able to tell from the pixelated image of the shoe is the colour scheme, sticking closely to the Sonic theme colours.
It is also expected that the shoe has a marketing tie-in with the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog game, which is expected to hit the shelves around the same time and also expected to be some sort of racing game.
The RS History
The PUMA RS-100 was originally released in 1986 and was considered extremely advanced for its time. This was followed soon after by the release of the RS Computer Shoe, the first-ever analytical shoe that gave runners the power of computing to aid in performance. A custom-designed computer chip built into the right heel recorded the time, distance and calories expended then communicated the results once plugged into a computer. The RS-350 was released in 1987, a streamlined ‘80s running design.
