PUMA Spectra Brings Colourway Update to Running Shoes

Earlier this year, PUMA announced its next-generation PUMA Nitro series, which included the Deviate Nitro. The shoes brought with it the introduction of PUMA’s carbon-plate technology. The pack has received a welcome update, with the brand launching the PUMA Spectra range.

For the Spectra range, PUMA has introduced two main silhouettes, the Deviate Nitro Spectra, as well as the Magnify Nitro Spectra.

Additionally, the pack also includes updates for previous silhouettes, including the Velocity Nitro Spectra and Liberate Nitro Spectra.

Achieving greatness is a spectrum, a relay, an endless pursuit. It starts off at one point and pushing beyond, while blazing trails and blocking out the negative. This is the mantra of the PUMA Spectra pack. With this, it applies its vision to the colourway, which features red, green, blue and yellow across all silhouettes. These colours emphasise how athletes from around the globe compete together on the global stage in 2021.

To provide the ultimate in running performance, the plate acts as a lever for maximum energy transfer at the moment of toe-off. The combination of these two technologies bring with it improved efficiency for runners to get the most performance from each run.

The shoe also offers the most grip with the PUMAGRIP technology. It features high-traction rubber, made from a durable compound to provide traction across various terrains.

Rounding off the design are the strips of reflectors, which is strategically placed for that low-light conditions.

Magnify Nitro Spectra

The PUMA Magnify Nitro Spectra is a new addition to the Nitro family. Its introduction brings with it another level of comfort magnified.

The shoe brings with it the key features from the Nitro pack, with the added helping of cushioning. The combination of the PROFOAM Lite and the Nitro cushioning makes it extremely comfortable.

In addition to this, it is also lightweight, while still being responsive. The Magnify Nitro Spectra is a balance of science for the ultimate fit, with a breathable mesh upper that just feels right. To back this up, PUMA has added a 3D-moulded heelpiece to maximise the comfort, while holding the foot securely in place.

In addition to the runners, the PUMA Spectra pack also includes a lifestyle sneaker, the Future Rider Double Spectra. As a result, the classic Future Rider silhouette receives the Spectra makeover in style.

The PUMA Spectra range is currently available online at PUMA.com, PUMA Select stores, as well as various retailers across South Africa. This includes Totalsports, Sweatshop and Sport SA.

In addition to the running shoes, PUMA has also included tie-in apparel for the pack. This includes the High Impact to the Max Bra, Run High Shine Crop Tank, Run High Shine HW 7/8 Tight, Run Woven Ultra Jacket, Run COOLadapt Singlet, Run Woven 7” Short and Lightweight Runner Cap.
