PUMA continued their Suede 50 celebrations last week with the release of the PUMA X XLARGE collection. The campaign continues to thrill with its influence from the streets with the drop of the Street Culture Chains pack.
The Suede has long been synonymous with street culture, since hitting dropping 50 years ago. This time around, the Suede has been influenced by the street culture itself, taking design traits from gold chains for some bling. The Suede silhouette is adorned in classic chains, metallics and bold colours. Covered in a premium suede upper, the eyelets are styled with gold chains each inspired by their favourite artists’ and athletes’ flashiest necklaces. The sneaker also features the timeless rubber sole, with a gold logo, along with shiny gold lace tips.
The colourways available include gold, silver, rose gold and black ion for men, with a dusty coral with gold detail for women. There’s also a kids range, which comes in black or dusty coral/rose gold. PUMA has also included matching apparel and accessories for the drop, which includes tees, caps and backpacks in various colours.
The PUMA Street Culture Chains pack for Suede 50 is set to drop on 6 July 2018 and will be available at Cross Trainer, Spree and various other retailers across the country. The prices range from R2,299 for men, R1,899 for women, and R1,499 for kids.
