At the end of 2019, PUMA launched the renewal of its Rider series from its archives. PUMA has extended its Rider sneaker range with the release of the Wild Rider.
The Wild Rider takes its cues from the movement and motion of city life — an ongoing strife to move forward, further, faster and beyond.
With a selection of its Futro styles, the Wild Rider takes things to the next level. The selection of Futro styles are referenced across different decades, combining these styles with modern technologies and construction techniques. It takes the Rider range’s language forward, evolving fresh layers of materials and futuristic circles at the midsole.
Based on the original Easy Rider II OG, it features a collage of past and future merged together. The PUMA Wild Rider has a debossed concave holes on the midsole along with a rubber wrap with embossed studs.
Adding a new dimension to the Rider range, there are hints of vivid, industrial-like colours. That includes a palette of royal blue, with a nylon upper with suede and premium leather overlays. In addition to this, it features TPU details on the eyelets and heel, a terry towel lining, deco stitching on the upper. It is rounded off with the signature Rider foam.
Further to the detailed midsole, the heel features a series of unique design finishes. This includes the PUMA Formstrip that flows into the heel pull, a hairy suede overlay and the “Designed by PUMA” text emblazoned across the back. The end of the heel extends out, which further plays on the idea of motion, which serves as inspiration for the shoe.
