Puma has dropped their second collaboration with Amsterdam-based design collective Daily Paper. The collection includes apparel and footwear, rich with the African heritage reflicting the roots of the Daily Paper founders and inspired by the Maasai Cricketers of East Africa.

Having formed back in 2010, Daily Paper has been introducing new trends and setting the pace when it comes to streetwear. The company has made a name for itself in contemporary fashion and grown into a well-respected creator of authentic ready-to-wear garments. The Puma X Daily Paper collection for the Spring/Summer 17 sees the fusion of contemporary styles and cultural backgrounds to create the refreshed and bold graphic execution and subtle design details.

The collection takes inspiration that relates back to the East African origins with the Maasai cricketers at the forefront. The collaboration recreates styles from Puma‘s archives with clean cut lines, colourblocking, and patterned trims that geniunely reflect the Maasai people and their history on the cricket pitch. Each piece within the collection has an added rubberised branding, which makes an already unique piece all the more official.

The range includes the Puma Match (R2,799), which includes three renditions – a variant with Velcro straps, another with classic form with an all-over paint splatter effect, and a colourful translucent sole on the third. A second silhouette is the Court Platform (R2,499) with a platform sole, and premium knit and leather upper, which makes the style a lot more diverse and edgy, and appealing to both men and women. The rest of the Spring and Summer range for 2017 includes sweats (R2,499), polos (R1,199), shorts (R1,799) and a parka (R5,499).
