A few months back, PUMA launched its PUMA X FIRST MILE collaboration, which sees the use of both sustainable and recycled manufacturing, with the collection made from recycled plastic.
PUMA South Africa has released the second drop for the collection, featuring new styles in the form of the LQDCELL Hydra Camo, as well as accompanying apparel.
As with the first collection, the latest co-branded collection is created from recycled yarn that has been manufactured from collected plastic bottles. In addition to the recycling and reuse of the plastic bottles, PUMA has also created a process of sustainable jobs, while also reducing environmental waste from the production.
The impact on the local communities within the First Mile network are positively affected through the updated process. PUMA aims to raise awareness and drive change by creating a sustainable world.
The second drop from the PUMA X FIRST MILE collection features an updated styling over the first, with camo patterns, earth tones along with a dash of vibrant colours. This collection not only aims to allow wearers to perform at their best but also look great while doing so.
Stefan Seidel, Head of Sustainability for PUMA, said this of the latest collaboration:
“We should be looking after our planet and constantly working on bringing our environmental impact in line with planetary boundaries. Our strategy is centred on continuously looking for more sustainable alternatives for our key materials and creating maximum positive impact, living up to our code of being Forever Better.”
The second drop of the PUMA x FIRST MILE training collection is available at PUMA stores across the country, as well as online at PUMA.com.
The PUMA X FIRST MILE LQDCELL Hydra Camo retails for R2,000, with the Camo Tee at R1,000 and Woven Short R1,000.
