Puma has been in full launch mode for their Suede50 campaign and shows no sign of letting up. The company has partnered with famous Japanese and global pop culture phenomenon, Hello Kitty, which has been around for over 40 years now. She may only be as tall as five apples and weighs the same as three, but her influence spans the world over, gracing all things ‘kawaii’ since she first debuted in Japan in 1974. Both Hello Kitty and the PUMA Suede, having launched in 1968, are certified pop cultural icons.
Hello Kitty has built a multi-billion dollar brand, with fans of all ages, making a perfect addition to the Suede50 celebrations. Puma pays homage to the iconic symbol, complete with red bow-toms and milk button icon. The collections include accessories, apparel and sneakers, featuring cheeky, fun graphics with bold colours, and intricate details make this offering uniquely endearing. The sneaker silhouette will be available in four iterations – the Puma x Hello Kitty Suede Classic will be available for women, pre-school, infant and junior.
The Suede Classic features graphics on the toebox, tongue, laces, heel and Formstripe, which radiant red, popping against a Hello Kitty pattern and a chunky white sole. A notable detail includes the red bow-toms that showcase Hello Kitty’s signature bow, beaming through translucent outsoles. The Puma X Hello Kitty Suede Classic shoes are available in adult and junior, pre-school and infant sizes.
The Puma x Hello Kitty Suede Classic collection is set to drop on 8th February 2018 at Puma Select, X-Trend Store and Jack Lemkus.
