A few months ago, PUMA dropped their debut collection with Karl Lagerfeld as part of the PUMA’s Suede 50 campaign throughout 2018. Fast-forward a few months and the PUMA X Karl Lagerfeld collection has been extended with two new special-edition sneakers, a unisex ROMA and a ROMA AMOR for women.
The ROMA silhouette was first introduced by PUMA in 1968 as a track shoe of its time. With the relaunch of the sneaker, both the ROMA and ROMA AMOR have a die-cut stacked midsole, which has been decked with oversized Karl Lagerfeld branding.
The two silhouettes are covered in a playful polka dot pattern, as well as sporty designs crafted in a soft leather upper to combine both comfort and style. The sneakers have a contemporary yet youthful aesthetic, which reflects Lagerfeld’s signature DNA with distinct shades of black and white.
The unisex ROMA is set to retail for R1,999, while the ROMA AMOR women’s silhouette will retail for R1,799. The former has a Karl Lagerfeld graphic on the sides, while the latter is finished in a satin upper with a unique Karl Lagerfeld logo.
The PUMA X Karl Lagerfeld sneakers will be available locally at PUMA Select stores and Shelflife from 21 May 2019.
