Peanuts first appeared in 1950, with the comic strip printed in seven newspapers. The gang has since become pop culture icons and have been brought to life as part of the PUMA x Peanuts collection, which features two new sneakers (Peanuts x Puma Future Rider and Peanuts x Puma Ralph Sampson).
From the drop, there will be an extensive lineup including footwear, apparel and accessories. The range will be for both adults and kids. Popular characters from Charles M. Schulz’s classic comic strip will be featured across these elements.
The Peanuts brand has been going strong for 70 years with over 18,000 strips during this time. Special focus will be on the two lead characters, Charlie Brown and Snoopy, along with the gang who has made its mark on popular culture.
The Peanuts characters will bring both a sense of nostalgia to classic PUMA silhouettes, as well as being bold and imaginative.
Bringing style to the footwear collection is the Peanuts x Puma Future Rider and Peanuts x Puma Ralph Sampson sneakers. These will retail for R1,999 and R2,299, respectively.

Clothing items from the collection are based largely on comfort and classic styles. This includes LS Tees (R899), Hoodie (R1,699), Sweatpants (R1,399) and Tee (R699). These items will be adorned by the Peanuts gang playing sports (especially for kids) such as baseball, basketball and football (soccer).
Kids items will include hats (R399), tees (R349 – R399) and AOP Leggings (R599) as well as the T7 Track Jacket (R1,099) and Pants (R999). The footwear range will feature the Mirage Mox Junior (R1,699), Preschool (R1,399) and Infant (R1,299), PUMA Shuffle Preschool (R999) and PUMA R78 Preschool (R1,099).
In terms of accessories, this will include beanies (R399) and a backpack (R1,299).
