Following last month’s release of the PUMA X KidSuper collection, PUMA continues its football-inspired product range with the PUMA X PUMA drop this October.
The collection features a carefully curated release featuring a mashup of PUMA’s past and present. A celebration of the brand’s heritage and a glimpse of its future.
The idea behind the PUMA X PUMA collection, paying tribute to its rich history, sheds spotlight on those finest moments, its design and stories. The collection reimagines these pieces to create a culturally relevant and authentic collection for the modern enthusiast.
As a result, the debut collection from PUMA X PUMA takes cues from PUMA’s history in football. The classic 1968 King boot is the centrepiece.
An icon in world football, the PUMA King returns to its thrown. The boot was worn on the pitch by legends of the game, including Pelé, Eusébio and Maradona. This was extended to sportswear drops, which included collaborations with fashion designers such as Jil Sanders.
There are two sneakers that form part of the drop. This includes the Mile Rider Queen (R2,299) and Future Rider King (R2,199).
Both sneakers include direct design elements from the PUMA King boot. This includes the stitching lines, padding on the upper, as well as a unique, detachable tongue construction.
PUMA X PUMA also features a range of apparel. This includes the PUMA King Jacket (R3,299) and Track Pants in black (R1,699) for men. It also includes elements for women, including the PUMA Queen Jacket (R1,999) and Track Pants in white (R1,399). The PUMA King Jersey (R1,199) sports an all-over graphic print. The King graphic features reflective print on the front in a dryCELL fabric, to keep moisture away.
The PUMA X PUMA collection is available online at PUMA.com as well as in-store at PUMA Select stores across the country.
