PUMA has a long-standing history with Rhuigi, having first partnered with his brand two years ago. The first drop was centred around the classic Suede silhouette, which has its ties to the basketball scene in the 70s.
With its latest drop, the PUMA x Rhuigi collection features basketball as the centre of the release. It extends from New York’s deep love for basketball, tying into the fourth “New York Worldwide” collection.
As such, the collaboration features a nostalgic range of footwear and apparel from the New York basketball past and present. These are represented by basketball celebs RJ Barrett and Walt “Clyde” Frazier.

At the centre of the latest PUMA x Rhuigi drop is the Clyde Mid, a staple of the basketball court in the 70s. The sneaker features its classic colour scheme in a PUMA White upper and Royal Sapphire formstrip. There are also elements of orange detailing scattered throughout. Overall, the colourway is a reference to the New York Knicks. Other elements of the sneaker are its aged materials, from the heel and collar to the midsole and the laces.
Additionally, the PUMA x Rhuigi collection also features a mix of basketball apparel and accessories. This includes the Graphic Tee, Basketball Shorts, and an Oversized Tote. The collection features “New York Worldwide” graphics throughout, illustrating the city’s impact on global music, style, and culture.
