PUMA has partnered with ViacomCBS and Nickelodeon for a limited-edition drop. The latest drop celebrates the 30th anniversary of the premiere of the original Rugrats animated series. The collaboration brings back 90s nostalgia with retro flare as part of the PUMA X Rugrats collection.
For adults and children alike, the PUMA x Rugrats collection features seven pieces influenced by the show. This is featured across PUMA‘s classic silhouettes, for both apparel and sneakers.
As a result, the collection is split into two distinct styles, those for adults and those for kids. The sneakers collection pays homage to the original Rugrats cartoon with its vibrant colours. This is reminiscent of ’90s design elements.
Across the collection, sneakers are inspired by your favourite Rugrats. This also includes the babies’ favourite fictional character, Reptar.
In terms of the sneakers, the adults can look forward to the Court Rider Rugrats. It’ll be available at R2,399.
For the kids drop, the range includes the Future Rider x Rugrats in various sizes. This includes Junior (R1,799), Pre-School (R1,299) and Infant (R1,099) sizes. In addition to this, the collection also features the time-tested PUMA classic Suede x Rugrats. These are also available in Junior (R1,299), Pre-School (R1,099) and Infant (R999).
The drop also includes a mix of apparel styles, only available in adult sizes.
The collection of apparel includes the Short Sleeve Tee (R999) with the animated babies playing on the PUMA logo, as well as a Long Sleeve Tee (R1,199) in Susie Carmichael’s iconic purple and gold pattern from her dress.
In addition, there’s the Hoodie (R1,499) featuring Reptar and the Pickles’ family dog, Spike, on the front and the Rugrats logo emblazoned on the back. And, lastly, there’s the Rugrats Short (R1,799) inspired by those worn by Chuckie Finster in the iconic green pattern.
