RTX 3080 Sneakers: Is The NZXT x RTKFT PC Wearable?

But does can it play Crysis? Apparently, it can!

RTX 3080 Sneakers

Do you love sneakers? Do you love a good gaming PC? How about a gaming PC sneaker? It may sound like a strange train of thought, it may have been what the manufacturers were thinking when they created the NZXT x RTKFT PC (RTX 3080 Sneakers).

NZXT is a hardware manufacturer based in Los Angeles, California. Their main products include gaming cases, components and accessories. The brand has partnered with RTKFT, a brand that creates both virtual and physical collectable sneakers. These sneakers are aimed at celebrities, as well as well-known esports and gaming personalities.

These two brands are leaders in their own markets, have joined to create a truly one of a kind product, the NZXT x RTKFT PC. In effect, the PC is a pair of RTX 3080 sneakers with some of the best gaming hardware to boot. Take a closer look:

A statement about the creation by RTKFT reads as follows:

“Empowering RTFKT and our creator community to create the future of fashion and collectables, powering our vision, community and crazy ideas with their awesome builds and love of gaming.

The RTX 3080 sneakers are based on the design of the Nvidia RTX 3080 vanilla card. The lateral midsole boldly displays the card, complete with fully functional fans. The “rig” also features an NZXT cooler, motherboard and fans all visible through the sidewall. As the clip reveals there are also quite a few cables running on the inside, along with purple-themed lighting when powered on.

The question remains whether these are actual, wearable sneakers. With the visible internals, it appears not to be. I don’t see how anyone would be able to fit their foot into the RTX sneakers, let alone try walking around in them.

But does can it play Crysis? Apparently, it can!

It’s not clear whether the RTX 3080 sneakers is a once-off or eventually go on sale. A quick look at the RTKFT website only presents a sign-up page for their newsletter.

What are your thoughts on the NZXT x RTKFT RTX 3080 sneakers?
