PUMA has been busy of late, releasing a mix of pop culture icons, streetwear, reboots, classics and performance sneakers, and have shown no signs of slowing down. This time around, they introduce the PUMA Avid for men, challenging you to own the city and run the streets. The female version of the Avid was announced as part of the Fenty fourth season drop last week.
Inspired by the layers and levels of modern city life, the Avid was designed to tackle the challenges the city presents, from the subway below to the rooftops above, and everywhere in between. The silhouette features a completely knitted upper with flow mould details in the eyestay and heel section. The Avid also features Ignite Foam in the midsole and a rugged outsole, and boasts the latest PUMA running technology, providing high comfort levels, durability and traction. This gives the sneaker a comfortable fit with the right amount of support and protection.
In terms of the design elements, the Avid includes progressive tooling, which sits upon a tonal sculpted sole with exaggerated dimensions and debossed lines. In addition to this, the silhouette includes a pull-on tongue and ankle loops for easy an on and off motion.
The PUMA Avid is set to drop on 12 April 2018, and will be available at PUMA stores, The Cross Trainer, Office, and various other retailers across the country. The sneaker will be available for R2,499 in an all-black colourway. Additional colourways are set to drop throughout 2018.
