Beyoncé and adidas Are Back with Second adidas X Ivy Park Drop

After the overwhelmingly successful debut release for the adidas and Beyoncé collaboration, the duo are back. The adidas X Ivy Park is back for a second season with a refreshed look at the product offering. The second drop is befitting of its title, Drip 2.

Beyoncé and adidas Are Back with Second adidas X Ivy Park Drop

This is My Park

The latest collaboration has been brought to life through a series of images and videos across many artists and their creativity. These have centred on Beyoncé, being a mother and a businesswoman, asking each of us to find our Park. The Park is the place, whether real or not, where it defines and centres us.

The collection is meant to raise questions: “Where is your best mode?”, “What drives you?” and “Where do your dreams lie?”.

The answer should be “your park”. It is inspired by the inner beauty, strength resilience and energy of artists who found their respective parks.

The adidas X Ivy Park is a celebration of positivity and always finding your joy.

With the various challenges being faced around the globe today, we’re forced to look inward. Find your ability to mentally, physically and emotionally find your Park. This is the message that Beyoncé has driven, having dealt with the changes herself during this time.

Along with her kids, dressing up for “Fashion Fridays” at the household brought laughter and joy. Through this came a new way of living.

The New Collection

With the Drip 2, the adidas X Ivy Park collection pushes the boundaries of traditional performance wear. The aim is to deliver sneakers and apparel that is functional, relentlessly stylish, as well as being inclusive.

The collection also brings new colourways, featuring bold colours, such as coral, mesa, yellow tint, dark green and green tint.

The collection features all you’ll ever need to take the gym. Transition from the street to the gym. It features the Unite Fit as the latest standard of inclusive and genderless sizing. The apparel sizing ranges from XXXS to 4XL. The collection joins Beyoncé’s love of athleticism and fashion with adidas’ performance and innovation.

When it comes to accessories, the adidas X Ivy Park also has you covered. This includes belts, socks and hats. In addition, it also includes belt bags, fanny packs and duffle bags.

There are also sneakers. These include six new styles, the Ultra Boost, Nite Jogger and Super Sleek 72, already classics. The adidas X Ivy Park collection also introduces a new range of sneakers, including IVY PARK Forum sneaker in both Mid and Lo offerings.

The range of footwear reinterprets classic adidas sneakers and incorporates new styles. This includes innovative lacing, hook systems and allowing the wearer to clip the shoe to their bags.

Beyoncé is the owner of the Ivy Park brand. One of the first black women to own her own athleisure brand. Together with adidas, Ivy Park shares a respect and commitment to creativity, resilience and equity.

The second adidas x IVY PARK collection is set to release next week, 29 October 2020. It will be available online at adidas.co.za as well as adidas stores.
