PUMA has dropped plenty of collaborations in recent years, including celebrities, artists, musicians, activists and the likes. In 2018, the brand partnered with Shantell Martin for a very artsy collection for the Be More campaign. In 2020, PUMA has again partnered with an artist to drop a unique range of sneakers, apparel and accessories in a vibrant and playful collection, PUMA X Mr Doodle.

Sam Cox, otherwise known as Mr Doodle, is an English artists who discovered a love for scribbling and doodling at a young age, which has stuck with him into adulthood. Starting off scribbling naively in everything from his school textbooks to his parents’ furniture, he has evolved his technique to something easily recognisable across the world, as part of his DoodleWorld aesthetic. Now earning a living off his squiggly artworks, Mr Doodle’s characters discover the world of sports. The collaboration with PUMA features a primarily black and white colour theme, with various hints of orange, purple and lavender scattered throughout.
The collaboration features a host of PUMA sneakers, including the recently reworked RS-2K, Cali Wedge, Leadcat and the Mile Rider. Each of the sneakers features the iconic patterns, also referred to as “Graffiti Spaghetti” across the upper and midsole. The RS-2K features various decorative elements across the canvas including asymmetric lacing, doodles on the midsole, as well as a doodle arrow below the laces. The Mile Rider on the other hand, while also featuring the squiggles, includes a sporty mesh upper with colourful overlays.
The PUMA X Mr Doodle collection will be available at various price points, as listed below:

RS-2K – R2,299
