Air Jordan 1 Low For Kids

While these shoes don’t bare the signature mark of sustainability. However, looks can be deceiving. From the Nike logo on the insole, and the pinwheel logo made of circling Swoosh symbols, it’s clear that this sneaker is part of its sustainability movement. While devoid of the pinwheel, the insole does sport the signature Jumpman, emblazoned against lime green.
Nike’s sustainability efforts don’t need to be signified by the pinwheel logo. It’s easy to spot the Grind Rubber used for the outsole. Additionally, the translucent thermoplastic polyurethane TPU material used for the Swoosh on the shoe’s upper is also significant. The Grind rubber is widely noticeable from the flecks of recycled rubber that are shot into the TPU. This results from a process that relies on injecting scraps of material left on the factory floor that was ground down to a meal of sorts to be used for future products into the plastic.
Most of the sneaker features a lovely contrasting bright laser orange or yellow overlay. This is combined with a lot of white on the midsole, toe box, laces and the rest of the upper. But, of course, this doesn’t include the interior lining and accents. Instead, it uses a soft tint of light emerald-minty colour, matching the Swoosh.
The Jumpman mirrors the Jumpman on the insole on the yellow tongue label, and the shoe is topped off with the white Air Jordan logo pressed into the yellow leather of the heel. Stay tuned for the official release date of these fabulous shoes and more highly anticipated versions of this style for Air Jordan 1, arriving in stores soon.

Nike’s Sustainability Efforts

Nike has emphasised their sustainability efforts, taking many measures to “ensure a greener future”. This includes creating materials with a reduced carbon footprint of 75% on average compared to their traditional knit fleeces.
Their movement is called “Move To Zero” which invites consumers to follow along their journey toward “zero carbon and zero waste to help protect the future of the sport.” Of course, consumers can do this by opting to buy their products emblazoned with the pinwheel design, signifying their sustainable creation. Furthermore, they could also use Nike’s sustainability services in-store.
The in-store sustainability services are the option to recycle or donate sneakers or a refurbished chance. When recycling and donating, customers can clean and donate or recycle worn athletics shoes and apparel to be reused for future material. With the refurbished option, Nike has sourced a mix of eligible returns. This includes open-box footwear to create an opportunity to purchase “gently” used shoes at lower prices.
