If you are an enormous sneaker enthusiast, you will be happy to know that the much anticipated A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 12 has finally hit selected stores today. As one of the Jordan brand’s more exclusive collaborations, the A Ma Maniére Atlanta-based luxury brand has seen a premium aesthetic added to Michael Jordan’s first four sneaker silhouettes. Having given fans previews of the sneaker since Summer, the sneaker finally has seen a release to kick off the third month of the new year. And this means it has wholly forgone its regular bi-annual release dates. So, to jump right in, here is a breakdown of everything we know about the sneakers so far.
Produced by American corporation Nike, Inc., the Air Jordan line consists of basketball shoes and other athletic articles. The first shoe in the line was the Jordan 1 Royal, produced in honour of the former Chicago Bulls player, Michael Jordan. Released in 1985, it was the prototype for the popular Jordan I colourway. Now, the Air Jordan XII sees another makeover with this A Ma Maniére collaboration. Below is a breakdown of the release of the shoe silhouettes and where to find them.
What Does the New A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 12 Look Like?
Produced in two colours, the sneaker design puts a new spin on the 1996 Air Jordan XII design. Trading in the original leather-based design, the Jordan 12 now introduces a new suede look for the durable sneaker. With a beautiful break in the jet-black colour, the sneaker sees “Burgundy Crush” toe caps in addition to some excellent metallic finishes. The burgundy colour travels down either side of the sneaker’s body in a rounded fashion. Branded on the tongue of the sneaker is an A accompanied by a mid-foot shank.
In comparison, the other version of the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 12 features more than just a colour difference. The sneaker holds onto the “Burgundy Crush” toe caps that run along either side of the body in a suede fashion. However, the suede uppers from the black pair are switched out with a beautiful white nubuck-coated composition. Consisting of a leathery feel, the brighter colour provides a crisp, clean look that is not as nuanced within the black pair. Similar to the black sneaker, the shoe has a metallic finish along the upper eyelets. And also shares the same branding and mid-foot shank on the tongue.
Where Can You Find the Sneakers?
As it stands, the shoe has been released worldwide but has only been stocked in selected stores. The stores where you can find the sneakers consist of A Ma Maniére, Nike SNKRS US, Nikestore US, and Social Status. All these stores are for the North American store re-stocks, and a good majority offer the in-store raffle for the sneakers. The raffle will also be available in the Europe-based stores in END., SVD, Foot District, and Slam Jam. Furthermore, the sneaker is also available on the Nike SNKRS website at the retail price of R 4 199,95 for South Africans interested in purchasing the sneaker.
