Low tops don’t get any more iconic than the Air Jordan 1 Low. These 80s classics have stood the test of time and continue captivating sneaker enthusiasts worldwide. But even a die-hard classic can do with a bit of futuristic flair, and that’s exactly what this timeless silhouette has received from custom sneaker creators @savoir_faire_paris with these Iridescent Air Jordan 1 Low sneakers.

Savoir-Faire took the classic look of the Jordan 1 Low into the future with these custom-designed “Iridescent” sneakers created exclusively for a Demolition Party hosted by the LS Group (a merger of two prominent families in the French automotive sector). The event showcased various artistic universes, with a special exhibition featuring customized sneakers by the Parisian custom sneaker company. Amongst all the remarkable pieces, the iridescent Jordan 1 Low undoubtedly stole the show, glistening brilliantly under the spotlight.
The surface of the sneaker is covered in a shimmering silver hue that shifts and changes colours depending on the angle of light, creating a mesmerizing visual effect. Everything from heel to toe is covered in this eye-catching material, except for the laces, which are made of a contrasting white fabric, adding a touch of balance to the shoe.

Combining the iconic 1 Low silhouette with a futuristic iridescent material is definitely a match made in sneaker heaven. The iridescent material not only adds a unique and modern twist to the classic silhouette but also elevates the shoe’s overall aesthetic. All in all, this sneaker is a true standout in terms of design and style.

While these shoes are a custom design for the LS Group, Nike offered a similar look for their Nike Air Force 1 sneaker back in 2015.

The NIKEiD service allowed customers to create a unique iridescent look for their sneakers, enabling them to customize the shoe’s upper, midsole and outsole to a bold colour-shifting material. Of course, the iridescent look doesn’t quite compare to the custom pair designed by Savoir-Faire. However, customers were still able to achieve a similar aesthetic by selecting metallic or reflective materials through the NIKEiD service.
Unfortunately, NIKEiD doesn’t seem to offer the iridescent option anymore, much to the disappointment of sneaker enthusiasts. However, this doesn’t mean that customers are completely out of luck when it comes to creating eye-catching and personalized footwear. With the discontinuation of the iridescent option, NIKEiD has introduced a range of other exciting customization features to cater to the ever-evolving tastes of its customers. From vibrant colour palettes to unique patterns and textures, sneaker lovers can still unleash their creativity and design one-of-a-kind shoes that reflect their individual styles.
As for the Iridescent Air Jordan 1’s, Nike seriously needs to consider creating a limited-edition release similar to the one created by Savoir-Faire. What better way to celebrate Michael Jordan’s bright and influential career than by creating a pair of his signature sneakers in a colourway that shines just as brightly as his legacy – maybe even brighter?
