The Jordan Brand has been hard at work reinterpreting some of its most iconic silhouettes with the stunning “Craft” series. So far, the Air Jordan 1 has received the bulk of attention with its low, mid, and high variations all receiving some form of upgrade since the series first launched in December 2021. Whether it was reversing materials, updating textures, or revisiting the silhouette’s reconstruction, these upgrades did not fail to provide sneaker enthusiasts with a fresh and elevated take on the classic Air Jordan 1. Thankfully, this year has given other sneaker models a chance to shine, with the beloved brand adding even more iconic styles to its “Craft” lineup, including the Air Jordan 4 Craft “Medium Olive.
Earlier this year, the Air Jordan 4, known for its sleek design and signature mesh panels, got its chance at a special “Craft” release with the new “Photon Dust” colourway. This iteration of Tinker Hatfield’s classic 1989 design offered a premium take on the iconic silhouette. It features a luxurious suede upper, intricate detailing, and an embossed leather strap replacing its usual plastic one. Now, the Jumpman is looking to expand its “Craft” series with yet another AJ 4 release, the Air Jordan 4 Craft “Medium Olive.
Looking to make its way onto the feet of sneakerheads worldwide this coming holiday season, the Air Jordan 4 Craft “Medium Olive” boasts a militaristic olive-green colour palette that only adds to the allure of this classic silhouette. The sneaker features a split upper constructed in a mix of leather, suede, and textile materials, giving it a premium and textured look. The titular hue covers most of the sneaker’s upper, while black accents found on the sneaker’s tongue, heel tabs, support wings, and parts of the midsole help accentuate the sleek and modern shoe aesthetic. Finally, the Jumpman logo on the tongue and heel takes on a sail hue, subtly contrasting the dominant olive green.
Besides its new olive and black colour scheme, the pair pretty much resembles its predecessor in almost every other design element. From its covered, textured suede cage to the multi-material composition of the upper, these two sneakers are pretty much identical. So, if you loved the lush look and feel of the previous AJ 4 SE”Craft” model, chances are you’ll be equally enamoured with this new iteration.
