The 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 6 is coming up next year, and Jordan Brand has planned a number of special releases to mark the milestone. Joining in on the fun is an offering many sneakerheads will find impossible to resist: the Air Jordan 6 Low in a dark “Blackout” colourway.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

While images of the rumoured ‘Blackout’ colourway have yet to surface online, sneaker insiders zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files report an all-black colour scheme, which may see the AJ6 clothed from head to toe in the dark hue.

Yes, this suggests black uppers, accents, and potentially even a blacked-out sole unit below, which is undoubtedly something unique given that the model has never actually been offered in a true all-black look before.

Whether you’re hoping for plush black nubuck uppers for an extra luxurious touch or a sleek leather style—something akin to a low-top version of Batman’s all-black custom AJ6s from Tim Burton’s 1989 film—this “Blackout” release is sure to be well worth the wait. Too bad these kicks will only be available in women’s sizes, gents.

Air Jordan 6 Low “Blackout” Release Details

The “Blackout” AJ6 colourway is one of the many highly anticipated sneakers added to Jordan Brand’s Spring 2026 lineup. The shoe will be available in women’s sizes from Nike.com and select retailers. However, pricing details are still unknown.

Other Jordan sneakers to look out for next year include a denim-clad Levi’s x Air Jordan 3, a rose-adorned Teyana Taylor x Air Jordan 3, and a three-way Jordan 1 collab between Jordan Brand, Fragment Design, and Union LA. Until then, follow Sneaker Fortress for more sneaker drops and news.
