This year hasn’t even ended, and we are already looking forward to the lineup of sneakers 2024 has to offer us. There has been teaser after teaser on social media of all the tempting new colourways and collaborations Nike will be dropping in the new year. One of them just so happens to be the colourful Nike Dunk Low “Dance”.
As you may have guessed from its name, the stunning Nike Dunk Low “Dance” draws inspiration from the energy and expressiveness of dance. This transpires as a dazzling fusion of vibrant colours and intricate design elements, embodying the fluid dynamism of various dance styles into a truly unique and visually striking sneaker design.
In this refreshing spin on the beloved 1985 model, the Nike Dunk Low is wrapped entirely in leather. The ‘Summit White’ sets a crisp, pristine backdrop for a captivating tapestry of hues in Light Armory Blue, Black, and Playful Pink, artfully applied across the quarter panels. Yet, the colours are not employed arbitrarily. With each colour perfectly woven in curving lines and contrasting tones, the sneaker takes on an evocative, abstract appearance.
Following the same colour-blocking concept, the Nike Swooshes are dressed in contrasting Playful Pink, Red and Black patches. Accents of Red re-appear on the tongue and heel tab branding, adding an extra splash of colour to the design.
But the design details don’t stop there. Enhancing the allure of this creation, the sneaker features 3M reflective material on the toebox, Swooshes, and heel overlays. This magnificent inclusion ensures the sneaker is not left unnoticed in low-light conditions.
Bringing the design together are the Armory Blue laces, which artistically highlight the blue tones in the sneaker. Adding the final touches are a Black midsole and a dual-toned, Gum (a perfect match for the insole) and Armory Blue rubber outsole. Underneath, the alternating colours create an eye-catching contrast, further enhancing the shoe’s creative design concept.
For those interested in grabbing this abstract sneaker, the Nike Dunk Low GS “Dance” is set to make its grand entrance on January 28, 2024. However, let’s break it to you gently: it’s only available in kids’ sizes. I know, I know. How is it that kids always seem to get the most sought-after colourways, right?
The prices will span from $60 for toddler sizes, $75 for preschool sizes, up to $95 for grade-school sizes. They’ll be available for purchase on Nike.com and chosen retailers. If the young ones in your life need a stylish footwear upgrade, or if your feet are on the smaller side and you fancy a pair for yourself, don’t forget to save the release date.
