Even though we’ve yet to turn the page to Christmas 2023, the revered Swoosh Label is already putting the gears in motion to charm the sneaker community with its exciting new designs for next year’s Valentine’s Day 2024 lineup. We’ve already got a sneak peek of the cosy “Sole Mates” pack, which features the Air Force 1 and Dunk Low in an appealing blend of red and white. On top of this, we’re eagerly anticipating the Nike SB Dunk Low “City of Love” pack, inspired by the enchanting “Red Thread of Fate”, and it includes two striking Nike SB Dunk Low sneakers in the shades of “Light Bone” and “Burgundy Crush”.

We’ve previously shared insight into the “Burgundy Crush” colour scheme, and now, we turn our attention to exploring the equally charming “Light Bone” variant.

Sharing the same tonal aesthetic as its “Burgundy Crush” pair, the “Light Bone” pair presents an elegant blend of “Coconut Milk”, “Light Bone”, “Phantom”, “University Red”, and “Sail”, taking you on a colour journey away from the deep burgundy tones of its counterpart.
The sneaker begins with a stunning “Light Bone” satin base, with this glossy fabric gracing the toe box, tongue, quarter panels, and collar. Even the inner lining of the sneaker is crafted from the same luxurious satin material, albeit in a “Coconut Milk” hue.

Moving further along, the overlays boast a soft “Sail” suede material, while the iconic Nike Swoosh stands out in the textured tumbled leather in a “Phantom” shade. This harmonious blend of materials and hues not only add an understated yet notable contrast but also contribute a layer of depth and dimension to the overall aesthetic of these sneakers.

Charming hints related to Valentine’s theme are incorporated through the delicate details in the shoe’s tongue and insoles. Specifically, the branding on the tongue merges beautifully with a red string, and the suede insoles illustrate two hands intertwined by that same red string, symbolising the romantic concept of destiny or fate.

The sneakers are tastefully completed with a rubber sole unit in the “Light Bone” shade, speckled with gentle flecks of black. This subtle but elegant detail enhances the overall finish of the sneakers. Yet, what particularly stands out is the pop of “University Red” stitching along the midsole, adding a splash of colour and tying in wonderfully with the enchanting theme of the much-celebrated “Red Thread of Fate”. This striking look is further complemented by a set of “Coconut Milk” coloured laces.
Sneakerheads have the option to intensify the “Red Thread of Fate” theme by trading the existing laces for a fiery red pair courtesy of Nike. This colour swap could potentially offer a striking contrast to the sneaker’s tonal look. However, having said that, there’s something rather pleasing about the subtlety of the original tonal laces.

The Nike SB Dunk Low “Light Bone” is poised to drop, shoulder to shoulder with the “Burgundy Crush” variant, in February 2024. These trainers could play the perfect Twinning shoes for couples seeking to synchronise their footwear. The “Light Bone” option provides a balanced and subdued charm appropriate for every setting, whereas its “Burgundy Crush” mate injects a splash of daring colour into any ensemble. Both models are designed with superior materials and the iconic Nike SB Dunk Low silhouette, making it hard to decide between them.
