For this year’s collegiate partners, Jordan Brand designed all its Player Exclusive sneakers based on the coveted design of the Jordan 4 ‘First Class’ WNBA PE from 2024. Of course, we could still argue that despite all the design similarities, every university’s unique colour scheme and branding elements make each sneaker appear a bit more desirable than the last. And among the best of them are the UCLA Bruins Air Jordan 4 PEs.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
The Bruins’ signature blue is used throughout the PE, but it comes in various shades and textures to keep things interesting. For starters, the base is made of a darker plush suede, while the heel plate, tongue, and toe-cap are made of a lighter textured stingray leather.
The metallic gold accents, however, make this a true homage to UCLA’s trademark colour palette. Think gold Jumpman emblems on the tongue and heel, complemented by shiny diamond stones in place of his signature basketball, and, of course, golden hangtags dangling from the laces with the UCLA branding carved into the surface. These PEs are just flawless.
UCLA Bruins Air Jordan 4 PE Release Details
Similar to earlier PEs in the series, the public will not be able to purchase this stunning pair. This edition is a unique collector’s item available only to UCLA employees and players.
However, as we look forward to the brand’s 40th anniversary in 2025, we can anticipate a range of exciting Air Jordan 4 releases. These include the return of the original “White Cement” Jordan 4 and Undefeated’s coveted 2005 collab, plus a new navy colourway for the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 and even another denim Air Jordan 4 on the horizon.
