Union Los Angeles is no stranger to collaborating with Jordan Brand, creating stunning shoes since their first partnership in 2018 and constantly raising sneakerheads’ expectations for the next one. Their upcoming collaboration was thought to be between the two illustrious brands. Still, it was recently discovered that it was actually between three! Introducing the new Union x Bephies Beauty Supply x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Woven” sneaker.

Attributed as part of the trio’s “Summer of 96” project by some sources, the collaboration is the first husband/wife Jordan sneaker collaboration in the brand’s history, coming from Union LA’s Chri Gibbs and his wife, Bephies Beauty Supply’s Beth “Bephie” Gibbs. This isn’t the first collaboration that they have made, and it presumably won’t be the last as this power couple takes the fashion world by storm.
The Union x Bephies Beauty Supply x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Woven” takes inspiration from previous sneakers while adding flair. The base colour for the sneakers is Sail. Still, you will see that the colourway also includes hints of Wolf Grey, Muslin, Pale Vanilla, Kinetic Grey and University Gold.
Starting from the bottom, we see the Sail loud and proud in the outsole, with an ever-so-slightly lighter midsole that makes its way up to the upper base.

The upper is a stunning white, presumably the Pale Vanilla incorporated in the design, made with smooth-looking and tumbled leather. The upper is entirely bisected with a line of woven Sail that artfully follows the contour of the grey Nike Swoosh, arching up slightly before following the curve of the sneakers downwards towards the toe box, basically replacing the almost invisible mudguard.
The sneakers are a nod to the Neutral Grey OG colourway and the Nike Air Footscape Woven. They are a pair of lifestyle running sneakers loved for their asymmetrical design and how the unit was designed, a beloved pair from the late 2000s. Of course, the dynamic duo worked with Air Jordan to adapt the design for one of the most favoured and beloved Air Jordan pairs, the OG 1s.
BBS for Bephies Beauty Supply is embroidered on the back in a contrasting shade to show the love for the collaboration. At the same time, Union Los Angeles’ UN/LA motif can be seen on a minimal label on the collar in University Gold. This bright golden yellow can be seen on one of the lace options and the outline of many elements throughout the sneakers.

Wolf Grey also appears on the inner lining, the collar, the Air Jordan Wings emblem, the upper piece behind the UN/LA label, and the Nike Air tongue label. All around, you can tell that this design was made with love, bringing elements of all three collaborative brands through stunningly and cohesively; that is a new and striking design.
This three-way collaboration is set to release on the 26th of August, 2023. It will be available at affiliated Jordan Brand retailers and online from Nike and the Union store. The pair is expected to retail for a price of $200.
