Following the recent drops with major skateboarding brands, including collaborations with Anthony Van Engelen, Lizzie Armanto and Antihero, the Vans team has partnered with the iconic Baker Skateboards to create a range of footwear and apparel for the Vans X Baker collection.
The collection sets out to celebrate both brands’ history and identity across all things skateboarding. Founded at the intersection of East Broadway and Warner Avenue, the collaboration pays homage to the iconic “Off The Wall” Vans slogan since 1966 along with Baker’s drive toward “Giving Skateboarding a Bad Name” since 2000. The duo have been involved in shaping skateboarding culture and street culture through music, fashion and art.
The new-look silhouettes with their updated colourways include the Old Skool Pro, Slip-On Pro, SK8-Hi Pro and the Style 112 Pro.
These four silhouettes have been rebuilt from the ground up with the Vans and Baker skate teams bringing new styles and elements to the designs, including the UltraCush HD footbeds for maximum cushioning across the range. This has been solidified with the Duracap-reinforcement for the high-abrasion areas of the shoes to extra longevity.
The collection is wrapped up with collaborative apparel pieces such as the Authentic Chino Pro and a Vans x Baker pullover, with each item in the collection designed for durability.
The Vans x Baker collection is currently available in stores across the country at various price points.
