Vans continues to join forces with strategic partners and notable brand ambassadors. Following the success of the Vans Space Voyager drop with NASA, the team have collaborated with global skater team rider Elijah Berle for the release of the first-ever signature model, the Vans Berle Pro.
Berle’s all-terrain, slick skate style has graced many a magazine cover from the most respected skateboarding magazines around the globe. There are three core philosophies at the forefront: design—support, grip and boardfeel. The Berle Pro includes the necessary tools in its arsenal while keeping a sole purpose in its design – skateboarding. The Berle Pro silhouette introduces a brand-new Vans Pro Skate innovation, WaffleControl, which delivers next-level support, board control, responsive grip, along with built-in cushioning to further push the boundaries of skate progression. Berle’s fondness for simplicity is echoed in the latest Vans silhouette, reflecting a minimalistic approach to the design.
Despite appearances, there are still a few surprises engineered under the hood to make the shoe a must-have for skaters. The WaffleControl technology provides a unique parametric waffle sole, which calibrates the perfect formula of depth within Vans’ iconic diamond pattern. The rubber is further optimised for superior grip, while the selection of materials, along with being engineered with an anatomical last, enhances the built-in cushioning with its contoured footbeds and cupsole-like support. Other supportive engineering includes Vans’ Duracap-reinforced uppers, new medial gum rubber enhancements on the toe and heel for extended durability, and Vans’ LuxLiner for a comfortable fit. While the main colourway features a Rumba Red upper, there are additional colours available in Black-White, and Stv Navy.
The Vans Berle Pro, Elijah Berle’s first-ever signature model with Vans, will be available from this weekend, 9 February 2019, at various retailers across the country.
