Vans has always had the skater culture at the fore of its sneaker designs. The team has partnered with pro skater, Rowan Zorilla, for the latest pro skater shoe range, following the likes of partnerships with Lizzie Armanto and Tom Schaar. Vans introduces the Rowan Pro skate shoe.
Rowan Zorilla embodies the new wave of young skateboarders, rhythmic in style and unorthodox in approach. His partnership with Vans aims to encapsulate this, celebrating creativity for his first-ever signature pro model from Vans. Vans has created a collection which reflects Rowan’s influential aesthetic and uncanny ability to skate everything, with his wildly advanced bag of tricks and legendary personal style.
The Vans Rowan Pro features the latest innovations in design, specifically for skaters. Two new innovations for the silhouette include the SickStick and PopCush. The SickStick is a proprietary gum rubber compound, uniquely calibrated in the sole and foxing. This delivers enhanced grip and highest durability. This is the most grippy and stickiest gum sole in Vans’ history. The PopCush brings with it a new foam recipe, designed for impact protection for superior cushioning. Other well-known technologies are also still present in the design, including the Duracap for those high-wear areas of the shoe.
The range also features an accompanying apparel collection. The collection features an all-new black denim Drill Chore Coat and matching double-knee denim V96 Relaxed/RZ utility pant.
The Vans X Rowan Zorilla collection, including the Rowan Pro, will be available from Saturday, 15th February 2020. The collection can be purchased at select Vans retailers and various retailers across the country, and will retail for R1,199.99.
