Fortress has covered a number of drops from the Vans UltraRange collection – a shoe designed to be rugged yet comfortable in the most extreme situations. The UltraRange allows wearers to easily transition between the streets to the pools and everything in between. With the release of the new Vans UltraRange EXO, it continues this benchmark.
Vans team riders, Michael February and Dylan Graves took the new UltraRange EXO sneakers out on the streets to the wave pools to put the sneakers through its paces. The sneaker is an all-around upgrade over previous releases within the range, designed to deliver the ultimate in comfort over prolonged periods, always reliable grip and the best in durability.
The shoe features a breathable, deconstructed Old Skool-inspired upper built on the RapidWeld technology, a stitchless construction with a no-sew welded upper. The sneaker gets its name from the EXO skeleton featured on the internal build, providing built-in support from the toes to the medial sidewall. The shoe includes a heel lock to complete the secure fit. The support continues to the externals with the rubber toe and forefoot, highlighted by the shape, revamped to provide optimal fit without sacrificing Vans‘ design DNA. But the rubber isn’t just about adding a new look to the silhouette, providing superior traction, all-day comfort and durability.
As with many Vans drops in the past year, the EXO also features a newly released technology, the UltraCush®Lite midsole. The new tech offers rebound and support without adding additional weight. The UltraCush tongue provides breathability with ports for superior airflow. And to round off the included tech on the EXO, the sneaker features a full rubber wrapped reverse waffle lug outsole for traction and flexibility.
While many other UltraRange sneakers featured more neutral colours, the UltraRange EXO is available in a green sulphur colourway, making it stand out quite easily in comparison.
The Vans UltraRange EXO is currently available select Vans stores across the country.
