Vans, a well-respected brand in the skateboarding industry, has partnered with another well-known brand, Antihero Skateboards. The companies have joined forces to commemorate two of skateboarding’s most famous riders, Chris Pfanner and Jeff Grosso. As part of the celebrations, the two have chosen their two favourite Vans Pro Skate styles, which forms part of the Vans X Antihero collaboration, which also includes numerous apparel and accessories.

Inspired by the unapologetic spirit of Antihero Skateboards and its heritage of nearly 25 years (as founded by Julien Stranger in 1995 in San Francisco), the two silhouettes chosen for the collaboration are the Slip-On Pro (Pfanner) and Sk8-Mid Pro (Grosso).
The collection boasts a mix of premium suede and canvas textiles on the upper, with customer Antihero graphics, along with Van’s Pro Skate performance technology. Noticeable across both silhouettes is the unified design of the Antihero mascot, the pigeon, each sneaker features a custom pigeon character on the footbed. Each of the styles includes a unique feature inspired by each skater, with the outdoor styling and premium suede overlays by Grosso, as well as the two-tone colour execution by Pfanner.
The Sk8 Mid Pro features Vans‘ UltraCush Lite 3D footbed, while the Slip-On Pro includes the Duracap-reinforced rubber underlay for durability and an UltraCush HD sockliner for unparalleled cushioning.
The Vans x Antihero collaboration is already available across South Africa at authorized Vans Pro Skate dealers.
