Last week, Vans dropped a collection dedicated to the surf lifestyle with the Vans x Pilgrim Surf collaboration. Continuing the momentum, Vans has once again partnered with renowned free surfer, Leila Hurst, to extend the Vans X Leila Hurst collection with a fun, bold and elevated aesthetic.
Hurst, a Kauai-born surfer, has focused on her deep relationship with the ocean and an active lifestyle. This lifestyle is reflected in the latest collaboration with Vans, emphasising all-day, carefree comfort and a relaxed, playful vibe. The primary focus of the drop is the classic Slip-On SF. The latest Vans collection embodies Leila’s captivating spirit and enthusiasm, which features Leila’s tiny animal colourway.
The sneaker is constructed from a sturdy cotton canvas upper, which has been engineered with a collapsible kick down heel. This makes it super easy to go from beach to street and back again. Another notable highlight of the sneaker is the Vans LuxLiner Drop-in sockliner, providing an improved cushioning. To round off the design, the sneaker is fitted with an original waffle outsole that has been created with water-based inks and glues.
There are two other additions to the capsule, including the UltraRange EXO and Style 36 Decon SF, both of which are also featured in Leila’s custom tiny animal colourway. The capsule also includes several unique apparel pieces, along with some accessories to pair with. Apparel items from the Vans X Leila Hurst capsule include a hoodie in French Terry that has a crop blouson fit, animal print, as well as an embroidered Vans logo at chest. The remainder of the collection includes a cotton jersey and backpack. The backpack is crafted from poly satin and includes ergonomic straps, a laptop sleeve, front zip pockets, as well as side water bottle pockets.
The Vans x Leila Hurst collection is now available at local Vans retailers.
