Nike Dunk High With Chrome Is Going Back To The Future

Nike is at it again, making a new Dunk High that tries to stay within the confines of what makes the sneaker line unique.

The Nike Dunk High “Chrome” is pressing up against its boundaries softly by including chrome panelling, which breaks the rules slightly (but not really).

This futuristic-looking pair of Nike Dunk High sneakers are unique enough to stand out alongside its brother and sister designs while maintaining the simplicity of the line’s creation.

The new Nike Dunk High “Chrome” uses a mostly greyscale colour spectrum, including black and chrome accents.

Most of the smooth leather upper is a super light-grey hue, contrasted by the inky-blackness of the mesh tongue, laces, insole, and sock liner.

But, of course, the highlight of this pair is the reflective chrome finish that covers the mid-foot panel, along with a sampling on the heel that has a silvery appearance.

Luckily, this isn’t the only chromatic detailing on the shoe. It also includes a dark, polished chrome effect that makes up the “NIKE” branding and the Swoosh on the tongue label.

The midsole is also a metallic silver that glitters in the light but does not quite have a chrome effect.

The outsole is usually where the Nike Dunk High plays around a little bit, excluding a slight accent from their two-tone colourway, and this pair is no different.

The Nike Dunk High range was first released in 1985 and was created as shoes with a supportive high ankle for basketball players.
