2023 is the year that sneakerheads and nerds unite like never before. From sneakers inspired by hit movies like Spider-Man, a rumoured Powerpuff Girls pack, and everything in between, we have seen some of the best sneaker designs come out this year. Still, unfortunately, more than half of them are merely concepts. However, these Super Mario Bros Nike sneakers are authentic, and you can buy them.

Premium MRO Sneaker Boots THY High and Low
These fantastic and colourful Super Mario Nike sneakers come in two different styles, with a high top style and a low, so you can choose your favoured silhouette.
The sneakers are BUSY, to say the least, with colours ranging from black and white to pink and purple, with a rainbow of colours in between.
Starting from the bottom, we have a plain black outsole with a white midsole to anchor the otherwise colourful and wild sneaker.
The tip of the toe represents Banzai Bill with black leather baring his usual toothy grin, perfectly complemented by the yellow and white design of the “? Block” represented on the toe box.
Next, we have the lace stays that combine pink, purple and a bit of red at the top, the red representing the red logo that we know and love, while the pink is presumably there for Princess Peach.
The majority of the upper depicts the green scaly skin of Yoshi, a great image of Mario himself, and the pseudo-Nike Swoosh represents a super mushroom.
The heel counter is just as colourful, marked by purple, bearing the rainbow logo of Super Mario, matched with the logo on the tongue.
The only difference between the high and low silhouettes is the extended height. In contrast, the high silhouette has some extra brown beneath the red panel, making up the last two lace stays.

Have We Seen These Before?
You wouldn’t be wrong if you thought these sneakers looked familiar. Andrew Chiou, one of Instagram’s most loved sneaker designers, released a similar design earlier this year. However, the two aren’t entirely the same.
The sneakers share many elements, such as the many colours, but also share similarities in design. They both have Banzai Bill represented at the forefront of the shoe, with the “? Block” on the toe box, Yoshi’s green scales on the upper, Red with Mario’s logo, and a pink tongue.
That’s where the similarities end. The Premium MRO Sneaker Boots are vibrant, whereas Andrew Chiou’s Nike Dunk Low “What the Super Mario” sneakers are a more muted colour palette. Andrew Chiou’s sneakers are also different because the left and right shoes are entirely different, and elements of the right shoe made it into the Premium MRO design, but the two are different enough.
If you fell in love with Andrew Chiou’s design, these Super Mario Nike sneakers are a great option.
