Sneakerheads will be thrilled to hear that the Air Jordan 9 “Black Gum” will be returning this winter, but there’s also another fan-favourite colourway expected to return for the chilly winter months: the Air Jordan 9 Boot “Wheat.”
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
This beloved AJ 9 Boot from 2018 comes in a tonal Wheat and Baroque Brown colourway. The uppers are entirely covered in weatherproof wheat-coloured nubuck with metal eyelets and hiking-style laces to complement the overall rugged aesthetic. The pair also features a deep-lugged, winterised gum rubber outsole for improved traction in wet weather.
Even if we are still partial to the sleeker style of the “Black Gum” colourway—which, may we add, will be arriving around the same time—this “Wheat” variant is definitely still appealing as a traditional work boot-inspired colourway.
Air Jordan 9 Boot “Wheat” Release Details
The “Wheat” colourway of the AJ9 Boot is set to release on October 13, 2025. The pair will retail for $225 USD on Nike.com and via select Jordan Brand retailers.
Other Jordan sneakers to look out for during the cooler months of the year are the “Shadow” Jordan 10, Jordan 3 “Family Affair”, and Jordan 3 “Sail/Metallic Silver” releases. Until then, keep an eye on Sneaker Fortress for more news and updates.
