Megan Oosthuizen grew up in the vibrant city of East London, South Africa, where she started her career as a sales consultant at Mr Price Sports, a sports apparel and footwear chain. Honing her interpersonal skills over the course of two years, she cultivated a keen understanding of consumer behaviour and marketing trends while also sparking a fascination with sneakers and footwear culture. After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in both English Literature and Psychology, Megan was drawn to the world of journalism, reigniting her passion for footwear and fashion trends under Sneaker Fortress.

Megan loves to research rising trends, the cultural significance of sneakers, and the history behind certain models. She endeavours to bring a much-needed female perspective to the world of sneaker news.
