For their 50th anniversary celebration, Dungeons & Dragons has worked with Converse to make a beautiful Dungeons & Dragons X Converse Chuck 70 limited edition capsule collection.

One of the most widely played, loved, and used systems of role-playing games in history, Dungeons & Dragons is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024, and it will be an excellent year for D&D fans. With an impressive collection of conventions, tournaments, and in-person events lined up for the year, one of the highlights is Gary Con XVI, when the world comes together to celebrate the life of D&D co-creator Gary Gygax in Lake Geneva, WI.
On this monumental occasion, Dungeons & Dragons will release a gorgeous capsule collection of limited-edition Dungeons & Dragons X Converse Chuck 70 sneakers.
Dungeons & Dragons X Converse Chuck 70 Collection
A number of designs will be launching as part of the official collection of limited edition footwear, all of which are gorgeously covered in references to the iconic game over its 50-year career. From images of the 20-sided dice that have become the game’s emblem to creatures like dragons and beholders, the sneakers are covered from toe to collar in D&D imagery.

The red and white pair features a black spine that leads down to the sole unit, where the typical rubber Converse label on the back of the sole has been replaced by Dungeons & Dragons. This pair is covered in images from the official rulebook’s first-edition illustrations, from races and classes to images of scenes that can take place within the game.
Another pair is black and green, seemingly inspired by the darker side of the game. It features images of necromancers, liches, and a rogue-like goblin on the side above the Dungeons & Dragons type.
The tongue of every pair has been modified to display the beloved D&D logo of a dragon taking over the & symbol. On the inside of the tongue, more D&D-related details are inspired by the character sheets we all know and love. Other small details have been altered, like changing the uppermost eyelet to a hexagonal-looking shape as a nod to dice and the grids used during combat and gameplay.
Among the options for your sneakers is even a death-save tracker running down the spine of the sneakers. This is just one of many elements made just for us D&D fans.

Release Date & Where To Buy Them
This gorgeous collection of Converse sneakers will be dropping first at Gary Con XCI, which will take place from March 21st to March 24th, 2024. If you can’t manage to get to Gary Con XVI or aren’t in the United States, don’t worry. The sneakers will be launched online on April 11th, and then you’ll be able to grab them online at Converse.com.
The capsule collection also includes some apparel items, so if you want some D&D and Converse-branded items other than sneakers, there are options for you as well.
At the same time these sneakers will be available for purchase, Converse will also be dropping Dungeons & Dragons-themed design options on Converse By You so that you can customize sneakers and make your own Dungeons& Dragons shoes.
