You know a sneaker is truly something special when it becomes the target of a train heist of movie-esque proportions. This is the case with Nigel Sylvester’s soon-to-be-released Air Jordan 4 “Brick by Brick” collaboration, with just under 2000 pairs stolen in Perrin, Arizona, on January 13, 2025. Fortunately, Nike still intends to deliver these stunning sneakers to its fans in the coming month, giving sneakerheads the chance to own what is sure to be one of the year’s most memorable releases. If you’re considering getting a pair of Nigel Sylvester’s coveted Air Jordan 4 kicks, here’s all you need to know.
What To Expect From Nigel Sylvester’s Air Jordan 4 “Brick by Brick”
If we look past Sylvester’s friends and family Air Ship design, the Air Jordan 4 “Brick by Brick” will be his fourth official shoe release with Jordan Brand and maybe his greatest to date.
As a homage to Nigel’s dedication to constructing his career “Brick by Brick,” the shoe features a rich orange suede upper. This plush base is complemented by colour-matched netting, wing tabs, and textured mudguards for a tonal look inspired by the red bricks of New York City, where the BMX star’s career started.
The footwear isn’t all orange, though. Both the miniature Nike Swooshes at the forefoot and the “Bike Air” branding at the heel are finished in a contrasting sail. You also get a bit of sail on the midsole and a set of sail laces to liven up the shoe’s appearance.
To match the design, the shoe is packaged in a brick-like textured box with the “Bike Air” branding displayed front and centre.
Release Details
Despite the extent of the heist, Nike intends to release the Air Jordan 4 “Brick by Brick” on March 14, 2025. The sneakers will be available through Nike SNKRS for $225 USD. However, considering that nearly 2,000 pairs of the already scarce stock were taken, there is a good likelihood that availability will be low.
This year, other Air Jordan 4 kicks to keep an eye on include the Undefeated x Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 4 WMNS “Seafoam”, and the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 Retro “Navy” pairs. Until then, be sure to follow us at Sneaker Fortress for more sneaker drops and news.
