Nike ReactX Rejuven8 Is The Future of Comfort

Is Nike's new ReactX Rejuven8 slip-on worth the hype?

In response to the increasing desire for comfortable footwear—more specifically, Croc’s quirky, comfort-first clogs—the Swoosh Label introduced a new slip-on silhouette to their footwear collection. This is undoubtedly a smart move on Nike’s part as comfort and practicality have gained precedence in people’s footwear choices since the pandemic had us all cooped up at home. Sure, this wouldn’t be Nike’s first foray into the comfy clog trend, but it is decidedly their most innovative and stylish take on the concept yet. Just take a look.

A Closer Look At The Shoe

The Swoosh Label’s newest slip-on silhouette looks like something straight out of a sci-fi movie, with an ultra-wavy upper, expansive opening, and ventilation holes on the front end. In some strange way, it makes me think of the futuristic look of the Yeezy Foam Runner, the rippled look of Croc’s echo wave design, and the bill of the Darkwing Duck all blended into one design (and I mean this in the best possible sense, of course).

But the fact that this clog is made entirely of Nike’s ReactX foam—a material that was created for their most cutting-edge running shoes and is incredibly lightweight, bouncy, and sustainable—makes it somewhat special.

There is also a sticky rubber outsole underneath for the perfect grip, especially on slippery ground. And, of course, the sides of this futuristic design fully display Nike’s iconic check logo.

Colourway’s Available

However, another big selling point of this distinctive clog is the vast array of enticing colourways available. Currently, the shoes are available in five different styles for men, ranging from sleek Black and Smoke Grey to colourful Volt and Total Orange looks. There’s even a neutral Light Orewood Brown pair for those who prefer an earthy tone.

Yet there are also unique colour options for women and kids, including the charming University Blue and the delicate Elemental Pink shades.

Even with this extensive selection currently on offer, many more colourways will be added all year round. While most of these styles come with tonal looks, the design will be paired with the odd splash of contrasting colours for those wanting a more vibrant and eye-catching aesthetic.

Nike ReactX Rejuven8 Release Details

In the meantime, you can grab the above-mentioned colourways on the Nike website or at select retailers. Men’s and women’s designs are priced at $70 USD a pair, while the kids can get a pair for $60 USD.

However, Nike has heaps of other great footwear releases planned for this year, such as the Lil Yachty x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Lucky Green” and the Undefeated x Nike Air Max 95 Pack. So, stay connected with us at Sneaker Fortress for all the latest drops and news.
