Considering the sheer popularity of all things Pokémon, it’s no surprise that major sneaker brands have been lining up to collaborate on themed releases. From adidas to Puma, it seems like everyone wants in on the Pokémon hype. Jordan Brand, on the other hand, is one of the companies that we haven’t yet seen partner up with the popular franchise. But sneaker artist Dariyn Enriquez @dope_don_designs gives us a taste of what a future team-up could look like with his custom Pokemon x Jordan 4 set, with his “Charizard” design being our favourite of the lot.
A Closer Look At The Design
Call me simple, but the mellow orange and teal hues that make up this Charizard-inspired sneaker are just too good to resist.
The midsole and mudguard are a brighter shade of orange, which transitions to a more subtle shade on the eyestays and collar. But there are also accents of cream on the tongue and side netting to depict the dragon-like Pokémon’s underbelly.
Teal then appears on the tongue and wing tabs, with gold accents accentuating the look. But the heel’s flame design, which is reflective of the popular characters flaming tail, is by far the most distinctive feature of the overall look.
