The Swarovski x Air Jordan 1 Low Would Make Michael Jackson Jealous

It's almost here: the much-anticipated Swarovski x Air Jordan 1 Low collaboration in all its glittery splendour.

We’ve been anticipating the exclusive Swarovski x Air Jordan 1 Low collaboration for some time now. We’ve envisioned them, pondered over the myriad of outfits they could complement, and even been caught off guard by the $1000 USD price tag that comes with the exclusivity. Finally, pictures of the actual design have emerged, and let’s just say that they are even more dazzling than we could have imagined.

A Closer Look At The Sneakers

Essentially, the sneaker is a suede, crystal-encrusted version of the Jordan 1 “Shadow” Low, which differs considerably from the all-grey uppers teased in speculative mockups. The design offers a predominantly black look with grey accents on the toe box, Swoosh, and heel, plus a clean white midsole and black rubber outsole underneath.

But even more surprising than the colourway is that Swarovski and Jordan have not been shy about adding crystals to the design—which, I guess, explains the $1000 USD price tag. Every inch of the upper, except for the tongue tags and the metallic wing badges at the heel, is covered in these exquisite Swarovski crystals that shimmer and shine in the light.

Yet the shoes are still somewhat reminiscent of the DIY sneaker bedazzling projects that dominated the early 2000s (or the Michael Jackson era). Of course, given that these kicks are adorned with Swarovski crystals and not just any old faux gem, they are unquestionably a premium spin on the concept.

Swarovski x Air Jordan 1 Low Release Details

For those willing to spend $1000 USD on these luxurious Swarovski-covered kicks, the AJ1 low design will be available in the summer months of 2025 (more likely between May and June). The pair will be available in women’s sizes on Nike SNKRS, with more detailed release information to be disclosed closer to their launch date.

Until then, get ready for more glitzy women’s exclusive releases this year, like the hairy suede-covered Air Jordan 4 “Cozy Girl” and the dazzling Air Jordan 1 High OG “Varsity Red”. Just make sure to follow Sneaker Fortress to receive updates on these releases and more.
