This specific colourway, of course, was a homage to the basketball culture of the Big Apple, with a “White/Black/Royal Blue/Orange Flame” palette inspired by the New York Knicks team colours.
Hubert Davis, former New York Knicks player, undoubtedly brought this colourway into the limelight by sporting it during his time with the team. As such, its connection to New York’s rich basketball heritage is unmistakable.
