Great ideas often find their roots in good food, and a custom Air Max 1 inspired by McDonald’s aesthetics is certainly one of them. This unique piece of art is brought to life by the talented Sam van IJzendoorn, known for his incredible work via @vijzbespokes.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
If the thought of sneakers inspired by your favourite fast food joint hasn’t yet crossed your mind, these McDonald’s-themed kicks might just ignite that craving.
While we often connect the global fast food chain with a palette of red and yellow, these custom Air Max 1s draw inspiration from European McDonald’s locations, which feature green, white, yellow, and red hues to reflect the brand’s environmental initiatives.
Thus, these custom kicks showcase the unique color palette by utilising dark green suede on the toe box, mudguard, and heel counter, paired with white leather on the quarter panels. A yellow suede section beneath the white leather panel adds to the vibrant palette, complete with a fry box-inspired design on the tongue.
To finish off the theme, the iconic McDonald’s golden arch logo is prominently displayed on the forefoot, paired with a distinctive red lace dubrae also sporting the McDees logo.
There is no denying that the change in palette definitely lends this McDonald’s-themed sneaker a touch of sophistication.
