Next year promises an exciting line-up for Jordan fans, with several Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 designs slated for release. Some are brand-new colourways making their debut, while others revisit previous collaborations from the rapper. Naturally, this opens up exciting prospects for unique renditions of La Flame’s most adored colourways. So, is there room for a Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Reverse Phantom” in this mix? Before you decide, take a look at this concept by House of Heat.
A Closer Look At The Design
The envisioned “Reverse Phantom” colourway flips the script on the original Travis Scott x Jordan 1 “Black Phantom”, released in 2022. This design showcases white nubuck uppers accentuated with black contrast stitching and details.
True to Scott’s style, the reverse Swooshes appear on the lateral side of the shoe, this time in black tumbled leather—although for this to be a genuine ‘reversed’ colourway, they should ideally be in white. We can also picture these kicks adorned with the embroidered bee on the heel tab instead of the typical crudely drawn face synonymous with Scott’s collaborations.
While this concept leans more towards a “Panda” Travis Scott colourway than an actual “Reverse Phantom,” the design still has its charms. Which brings us back to the question: Is there a demand for a true “Reverse Phantom” colourway from Jordan Brand and Scott down the line?
Is the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Reverse Phantom” Available for Purchase?
Although the return of cherished retros and collaborations has opened possibilities for Jordan Brand to revisit the “Phantom” collaboration, there is currently no indication of an upcoming release or even a reimagined take on this popular colourway. So, while a “Reverse Phantom” AJ1 remains speculative, customising a one-of-a-kind pair is always an option.
In the meantime, keep an eye on what 2025 holds for Jordan Brand and Travis. Look out for the launch of a “Sail/Shy Pink” Air Jordan 1 Low colourway and a “Bright Cactus” Jordan Jumpman Jack. You may also consider the Nike Killshot 2 as an affordable alternative to Scott’s AJ1 “Black Phantom” colourway. And for more on custom and concept kicks, stay tuned to us here at Sneaker Fortress.
