Every year, for the spooky season, we get to see some of the most beloved and feared horror film icons come to life in sneaker form. And while Halloween has now come and gone, we’re still enjoying all of the eerie designs that were popular during the season. One pair that’s recently caught our eye is the creepy Air Jordan 6 “Child’s Play” by Javornie Brathwaite (@jsbthecreator).
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
As the name implies, this playful design is based on Chucky, one of the scariest dolls ever featured in horror film history. Although we have seen numerous sneaker models dressed in the likeness of the possessed doll, this happens to be our first Jordan 6 sighting.
The AJ6 is decked out in Chucky’s trademark attire, featuring denim overlays and a colourful striped fabric on the shoe base. The rubberised tongue is then painted bright orange to resemble the infamous doll’s hair, and his skin is represented by the flesh-coloured shroud decorated with stitched details.
Other details contributing to the overall creepy aesthetic are the red paint splatter on the laces and the ‘Good Guys’ branding on the heel above the dripping Nike check. Designs like this make us wish it were Halloween season all over again.
