Since this year’s zodiac animal is the slithering serpent itself, snake-inspired sneakers have been the flavour of the season. While there are plenty of official releases from major brands to commemorate the occasion, it is the custom sneaker artists that have effectively capitalised on 2025’s scaly theme. And Mr. S.Custom’s luxurious “Year of the Snake” Air Jordan 1 Low is a prime example.

A Closer Look At The Design
Although we previously featured two high-top iterations of the design, this version offers a low-top cut that has been a go-to choice among sneakerheads of late.
The design includes a black leather collar, thick rope laces, ornate knot pendants hanging from the shoe, and a clean white python leather base. Nevertheless, the focal point of this design is a red cheongsam fabric with gold embroidery on the overlays—a homage to the traditional Chinese New Year clothing worn by ladies. Completing the look is a white midsole and red rubber outsole.
These kicks perfectly embody what sneakerheads expect from their favourite brands when it comes to CNY releases—a fusion of traditional style, represented by the red cheongsam fabric with gold embroidery, and modern design elements, such as the python leather base and thick rope laces, that can make a bold statement out on the streets.
